Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Wang Lutong Inspects and Guides Work at Nanshan Indonesia Bintan Industrial Park

On October 29, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Wang Lutong conducted an inspection tour in the Riau Islands Province, visiting the Nanshan Indonesia Bintan Industrial Park for an on-site assessment and guidance focused on promoting safe and civilized production and building a harmonious industrial zone.

 Ambassador Wang Lutong was warmly received by the Governor of the Riau Islands Province, Ansar Ahmad, and company executives. Governor Ansar Ahmad provided Ambassador Wang with a detailed overview of the overall development status of the Riau Islands and the characteristics and potential of the local tourism industry. He stated that the Riau Islands Province, with its abundant natural resources and unique geographical location, offers exceptional conditions for enterprise development and tourism. The successful investment and stable development of Nanshan Holdings and PT. Bintan Alumina Indonesia in the region have significantly contributed to making the Riau Islands one of Indonesia's most rapidly developing provinces. Song Jianbo, Chairman of Nanshan Group, expressed sincere gratitude for the long-standing concern and support from the leadership of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia and provided a detailed report on the park's planning and development, production operations, and project construction.

Subsequently, Ambassador Wang Lutong visited the Nanshan Indonesia Bintan Industrial Park, touring key areas including the corporate exhibition hall of PT Bintan Alumina Indonesia, the alumina plant, the port terminal, the power plant's central control room, employee living quarters, as well as the Yingfa Indonesia factory located in the Galang Batang Special Economic Zone. The visit provided him with a practical understanding of the alumina production process and technology. At the corporate exhibition hall, Ambassador Wang further delved into Nanshan Holdings' industrial scale, development history, global layout, and the construction and development of Nanshan Aluminum's industrial chain. Song Jianbo, Chairman of Nanshan Group, stated that under the careful attention and guidance of the leadership of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, all tasks at the Nanshan Indonesia Bintan Industrial Park have been progressing steadily. In its development process, the company consistently adheres to the principle of "integrating locally and contributing to society," strictly complying with local laws, regulations, and cultural customs. While ensuring sound production and operations, the company rationally plans park project construction, continuously attracts enterprises from the energy, new energy industries, and modern manufacturing sectors to establish themselves in the park, and is committed to building a model park for China-Indonesia cooperation.

 During the visit, Ambassador Wang Lutong pointed out that the Nanshan Indonesia Bintan Industrial Park is an important achievement of economic and trade cooperation between China and Indonesia, as well as a successful example of the development of Chinese-funded enterprises in Indonesia. The construction and development of the park have not only brought advanced technology and management experience to Indonesia, creating a large number of job opportunities and promoting local economic prosperity, but have also laid a solid foundation for the friendly development of China-Indonesia relations. He encouraged the enterprise to continue leveraging its advantages, actively fulfill its social responsibilities, strengthen cooperation with local governments, enterprises, and communities, and make greater contributions to promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and Indonesia in economic, cultural, and other fields.

Simultaneously, Ambassador Wang Lutong emphasized that the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia will, as always, support the development of Chinese-funded enterprises in Indonesia, providing necessary assistance and safeguards. In their development process, enterprises must: first, earnestly ensure safe and civilized production, always keeping safety production as a top priority, improving and implementing the safety production responsibility system, reinforcing responsibilities at all levels, strengthening risk prevention and control, and fundamentally eliminating potential hazards; second, foster a harmonious corporate atmosphere, properly managing relationships between Chinese and Indonesian employees, as well as between the enterprise and the surrounding community, to enhance corporate cohesion; third, operate in compliance with laws and regulations, fulfill social responsibilities, strictly adhere to Indonesian labor laws and regulations, protect workers' legitimate rights and interests, gradually integrate into Indonesian society, give back to Indonesian society, and achieve mutual benefit, win-win outcomes, and integrated development. During this inspection tour, Ambassador Wang Lutong was accompanied by Song Jianbo, Chairman of Nanshan Group; Santony, Director of PT. Bintan Alumina Indonesia; and Hao Weisong, Chairman and CEO of Nanshan Aluminium International Holdings Limited.
